I teach weekly, daytime and evening, 2 or 3 hour sessions in blocks of between 5 and 8 weeks at beginner, improver and intermediate levels. The price for these courses do not include the cost of materials. Numbers are limited to 6 people per class.

  • Beginner

    These friendly and relaxed courses run in 5- or 6-week blocks, with 2-hour sessions designed for complete beginners. Each week, you’ll learn fundamental silver jewellery-making techniques such as sawing, filing, soldering, roll printing, stamping, shaping, and finishing metals like copper and silver.

    The course is structured around simple projects, allowing you to create items like a silver ring, pendant, earrings, or cufflinks. You'll also learn how to make a cabochon stone setting.

    Materials for beginner projects are available to purchase during class, typically costing between £10 and £40 for the full course, depending on your design choices.

    Class sizes are small (maximum 6 students), and all tools are provided. You only need to bring a sketchbook, pencil, and reading glasses if you use them.

    Parking is available.

  • Improver and Intermediate

    These 8-week, 2 and 3 hour courses are designed for students who have already mastered the basics. They offer the opportunity to learn more advanced techniques or continue working on personal projects with guidance as needed. Available during the day and evening, the classes provide tutor support while encouraging students to review existing skills, explore new ones, and gain confidence through practice and experimentation.

    Materials are not included in the course fee. While a small supply of silver and stones is available for purchase, students are encouraged to source their own materials, which can be discussed during class.

Leah Bastiani Jewellery reserves the right to cancel courses if the circumstances dictate, or if there are fewer than 3 students enrolled. If this happens you will be offered an alternative class or a full refund.

Should you need to cancel your place on any class, it must be done at least 2 weeks prior to the class starting to receive a full refund. If a place is cancelled a week prior to the class starting you will receive a 50% refund. No refunds will be given if a cancellation is made in the week leading up to, or on the day of the first class.

All persons must have full use of their eyes and hands for all classes. Any impairment which might affect you or the class must be made known to Leah Bastiani Jewellery prior to booking to determine suitability to the class and whether any special requirements need to be made.

Health and safety:

At all times, instructions of the tutor must be followed. Failure to do so may result in injury to self or third party and could result in being asked to leave the class permanently without a refund. Leah Bastiani Jewellery has the right to remove any person under the influence of alcohol or drugs from the class permanently, without a refund.
