Workshops for children
These creative workshops introduce children from 8 - 15 yrs to the very basics of jewellery making. Children will learn how to measure, cut, hammer and solder silver enabling them to create beautiful, personal jewellery! They will be using pattern and letter stamps, a rolling mill, hammers, saws, files and a blowtorch (fully supervised!) The finished pieces will be polished up by the end of the session and ready to take home.
Prices are either for one child or a child plus an adult. Kids can come alone or accompanied by an adult (numbers are limited, so one adult per child). If the adult wishes to make a piece of jewellery too, they will be charged at a reduced rate. If the adult is coming to help their child and not make anything there is no extra cost.
These classes are very popular and fill up quickly but I do get cancellations so let me know if you would like to be added to the waiting list.

Spinner Ring £65 (per person)
Suitable for children age 11+yrs.
Children will learn how to make a tactile, unique, silver spinner ring using jewellery tools such as hammers, a saw, stamps, blowtorch and pliers. Their rings will be polished and ready to wear home! (This workshop is a simplified version of the adult class, the ring is narrower with one spinning ring).

Stacking Rings £50/80
8 - 15 yrs
Children will learn how to measure their finger and create 3 contrasting silver rings using different kinds of wire. They can hammer, twist, wave and polish the rings which will be ready to wear home at the end of the session.

Pendant/Earrings or Keyring £50/80
8 - 15 yrs
In this workshop children will design their own pendant, pair of earrings or keyring. I will provide them with sterling silver sheet and wire to hammer, cut, texture and shape into their designs which will then be polished and ready to take home!

Bangles £50/80
8 - 15 yrs
I will teach the children how to measure their hands and make a bangle using sterling silver wire.
They will use hammers and stamps to add texture and pattern to their silver, creating a unique, personalised piece of jewellery. Their bangle will be soldered and polished and ready to wear home!

Ring Making £50/80
10 - 15 yrs
This is a general ring making session where children will design and create one silver ring. They will learn how to measure their finger and cut a piece of silver which can be patterned and personalised. They will bend, solder and shape their silver and the ring will then be polished and ready to wear home!
Children can attend alone or with an adult.

Bookings are taken on a first come, first served basis and require payment in advance to secure your place. For payment options please email me: leahbastiani@gmail.com
Leah Bastiani Jewellery reserves the right to cancel courses if the circumstances dictate, or if there are fewer than 3 students enrolled. If this happens you will be offered an alternative class or a full refund.
Should you need to cancel your place on any class, it must be done at least 2 weeks prior to the class starting to receive a full refund. If a place is cancelled a week prior to the class starting you will receive a 50% refund. No refunds will be given if a cancellation is made in the week leading up to, or on the day of the first class.
All persons must have full use of their eyes and hands for all classes. Any impairment which might affect you or the class must be made known to Leah Bastiani Jewellery prior to booking to determine suitability to the class and whether any special requirements need to be made.
Health and safety:
At all times, instructions of the tutor must be followed. Failure to do so may result in injury to self or third party and could result in being asked to leave the class permanently without a refund. Leah Bastiani Jewellery has the right to remove any person under the influence of alcohol or drugs from the class permanently, without a refund.
